About Chadds Ford
Chadds Ford is a township located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Prior to 1996, the township was known as Birmingham, but the name was changed in order to correspond to its census-designated place as well as its role in the Battle of Brandywine during the American Revolutionary War. Famed American artists N.C. Wyeth, his son Andrew Wyeth, and grandson Jamie Wyeth all have called Chadds Ford home, and much of their artwork is on exhibit at the Brandywine River Museum.
