About Lower Merion
Lower Merion is a township located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, located along Philadelphia’s Main Line suburbs. Prior to European settlement, Lower Merion was densely forested and home to several types of wildlife, including bears, cougars, rattlesnakes, wolves, otters, beavers, and more. After clearing much of the forest to make way for settlement, the wildlife was largely chased away. As of 2010, Lower Merion has a total population of 57,825 residents.
